Biodegradability is a material property that depends much on the circumstances of the biological environment (human body differs from soil). Given that this is the case, it could be said that making a product such as a plastic bag compostable does not make much sense because this biodegradability performance will not resolve the litter issue (different conditions in the compost and on soil).

De fait, la fabrication d’un produit qui peut être composté, comme un sachet en plastique, ne sert pas à grand chose, car les capacités de biodégradabilité de cet objet ne résolvent pas le problème des déchets (conditions différentes dans le compost et sur le sol).

Biologische Abbaubarkeit ist eine Materialeigenschaft, die sehr von den Umständen der biologischen Umgebung (der menschliche Körper unterscheidet sich von Erde) abhängt. Deshalb könnte man argumentieren, dass es nicht besonders sinnvoll ist Produkte wie z. B. Kunststofftüten herzustellen, die kompostierbar sind, weil diese biologische Abbaubarkeit das Abfallproblem nicht löst (unterschiedliche Bedingungen im Kompost und in der Erde).

La biodegradabilità è una proprietà materiale che dipende molto dalle circostanze dell’ambiente biologico (il corpo umano si differenzia dal terreno). Considerato questo, si potrebbe dire che rendere un prodotto quale una borsa di plastica in grado di decomporsi non ha molto senso in quanto tale proprietà non risolve il problema della spazzatura (condizioni diverse nella composizione e nel terreno).
