I take this opportunity to congratulate Minister Hoxhaj for the extraordinary success, he has achieved during this last week on the new recognitions of Kosovo's Independence, especially on the recognition of Kosovo's independence by East Timor and New Guinea Papua, and I am convinced that with the intensification of activity from Kosovo but also from Albania, the Kosovo map of recognitions will expand at the end of this year and early next year. I reassured Minister Hoxhaj on Albania’s known position in support of the red lines of the Kosovo Government in the talks with Serbia, as two neighboring states, independent and sovereign, on practical issues which improve the daily lives of citizens, including that of the Serbian community in the north of Kosovo, as well as their integration into the Kosovo institutions. I informed my friend Enver on our position in the recently held talks with the MFA of Serbia, Mr. Mrkiç in Tirana, where he stressed that the Albanians of the Presevo Valley deserve and should be treated according to advanced and democratic international standards. I assured the Minister that Albania will cooperate more intensively with Kosovo institutions, now fully sovereign, in European integration processes, that it has already started. That was pretty much the talking format I had the honor to hold with the Foreign Minister of Kosovo, whom I take the opportunity to thank for his visit in Tirana.
