Il lago di Caldaro è situato nella parte più pittoresca della Strada del Vino dell’Alto Adige, tra pendii e colline, su cui maturano in tutta tranquillità le uve del vino di Caldaro.

St. Josef Campsite blends neatly into the landscape on the south-western shore of the lake at Kaltern-Caldaro where the lake appears to merge seamlessly into the unspoilt adjoining biotope. Set amidst dense reeds and tall cypresses near the lake shore with the Mendel-Mendola mountain ridge rising protectively up in the background, it attracts cyclists and walkers, nature lovers, bathing guests, wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs. Kalterer See lake lies along one of the most beautiful stretches of the South Tyrol Wine Road, between the slopes and hills where Kaltern-Caldaro’s wine is allowed to mature at its own pace.

Am Südwestufer des Kalterer Sees, dort, wo man meinen könnte der See ginge nahtlos in unberührtes Biotop-Ufer über, fügt sich der Campingplatz St. Josef ganz sanft ins Landschaftsbild. Zwischen dichtem Schilf und hohen Zypressen, nah am Seeufer und mit dem Mendelgebirge schützend im Rücken, lockt er Radfahrer und Wanderer, Naturliebhaber, Badeurlauber, Weinfreunde und Genießer. Der Kalterer See liegt am schönsten Abschnitt der Südtiroler Weinstraße, zwischen Hängen und Hügeln, an denen Kalterns Wein in Ruhe reifen darf.
