  GIUDICELLI Muriel - - ...
Her maternal great grandfather had a deep love of vineyards. Her father, a wine lover. So it was difficult for Muriel Giudicelli not to be bitten by the same bug!
"I am now returning to my first passion, and am in the middle of planting my first vines for my own pleasure".
Within the Maestracci family, the wine-growing tradition has been passed from one generation to the next: his great-great-grandfather first acquired the Patrimoniu vineyard plot in 1890. Pierre-Antoine was then granted grower, winemaker and distiller status. Three generations on, Pierre-François is continuing his family’s trade by opening his own distillery. He first studied architecture in Marseille followed by Fine Art in Corte, honing his taste for the aesthetic and giving rise to his taste for daring recipes.
  BERTRAND Brigitte - Vin...
This land is steeped in history and in 2010 it won over Brigitte Bertrand, a wine grower’s grand-daughter, who was looking to live the dream of becoming a wine producer. It’s a family passion, and a considerable achievement. She has skilfully taken up vine growing, and, through her commitment to responsible agriculture, has managed to to strike a balance between successful vine growing and respect for the natural environment.
In the building’s surroundings, Marina works on her gardens growing fruit and vegetables that will be used in her delicious cuisine. Meanwhile, Antoine, with the same amount of care, takes care of his vineyard, his sheep and his guests - especially when it comes to letting them sample their domain’s wine. The quality of the offer is indisputable, and Marina and Antoine’s kindness and hospitality are exceptional.
The Domaine de Catarelli estate dominates the gulf of San Fiurenzu. On a clear day, you can see the outline of the superb beach in Saleccia, as Laurent Le Stunff appreciated when he came back here in 1990 following his studies in œnology in Montpellier. The vineyard reached the sea when his great-grandparents were alive! “It is very rare for vines to be by the sea. Very healthy too, thanks to the sanitising effect of the sea air on the vine. The air also gives the vine a unique aroma.” Laurent admits that the exposure to the sea has its limitations. Strong winds can burn the smaller bunches of grapes, or the surrounding vegetation. He’s not the first one to have to respect the vine – the estate’s 20 acres have existed since 1880.
There are some landscapes, such as Domaine Leccia, which surrounds the gulf of Saint-Florent, that are comparable to a fascinating historical novel. The estate tells the story, over 32 hectares, of a vineyard laden with memories and traditions. Annette Leccia holds the keys to this tale, which began with her ancestors in the 19th century. The ending is still far off, however, and there is nothing to suggest that the gustatory mystery of her wines will one day cease to captivate!
But more importantly, they also actively participate! 25 years ago, the Bergeries de Piscia was born, a farmhouse inn with a small dining room and two guest bedrooms. Today, there are 12 beautifully and attentively-decorated rooms available for the delight of visitors. Christine recalls: “Marc had 250 goats and we produced our own cheese. We would then drive around the villages in our little car. My husband soon had the idea to create what we have now. His very avant-garde idea hit the nail right on the head!”
LECCIA Yves - Vins AOP ...
Naturally, he successfully underwent his studies in Oenology at Montpellier. His career as a winemaker then began in the early eighties when he started working with his father in the family business, which he left in 2005 to set up his own estate on the magnificent E Croce and Partinelone land. Together with his wife, Sandrine, they make wine in harmony with the land. In September, their vines are adorned with beautiful, dark golden fruit. The grapes are all harvested completely by hand. Only grapes that are perfectly ripe are picked. The magic then happens in the stainless steel heat-regulated fermentation cellar, where the grape juice is fermented.
  ESTEVE Christian - Vins...
Christian Esteve was born to work with vines. He was helping out on his father’s land at 19 and then began working for himself in 2010. Christian now produces wine on 42 acres of vineyards as part of a wine cooperative and 12 acres as an individual grower. This dual role means that he is able to be independent.

As a child, Laurent helped his father bottle the wine. As a teenager, he used to help with the harvest and welcome visitors. “Managing a vine involves observing it and watching it grow with you.” He is currently involved in producing a wine of great merit, using a recognised and well-respected family tradition. His usually quiet manner changes quickly with the memory of receiving the prize in Bastia, in 1950, for a bottle of Impassito, a renowned sweet wine. “It was not just any medal – it was the first gold medal in Patrimonio [the first Corsican wine region to receive AOC status]!”
