The Chasseral Route takes you from La Neuveville through the Chasseral nature park to Nods. The park is best explored on foot, on horseback, or by mountain bike. You can taste regional delicacies, such as Tête de Moine cheese, Chasselas wine, or Treberwurst, a steamed pork sausage, on the “route for connoisseurs and gourmands”.  Take the Witch Path to explore the medieval town of La Neuveville and Schlossberg Castle (PostBs stop La Neuveville, Post Office). A museum in the center of the historic old town is dedicated to Le Landeron’s history (PostBus stop Le Landeron, Railway Station). Le Landeron is home to Switzerland’s largest annual flea and antique market. On Plateau de Diesse, you will find wonderful hiking trails, such as the wooden sculpture trail and a botanical educational path (PostBus stop Lamboing, Village). The region is ideal for winter hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. A ski lift in Nods takes those who prefer downhill skiing and sledding up to Chasseral  (PostBus stop Nods, School). The area is dominated by Chasseral mountain offering magnificent panoramic views from its crest (PostBus stop Chasseral, Hotel). Take a stroll along the adventure path to learn about flora and fauna, geology, landscape, and traditions in the Chasseral region. Da Cevio, in Vallemaggia, la linea Cevio–Bosco Gurin vi porta a Bosco Gurin. La ricchezza culturale, architettonica e naturale della Vallemaggia è apprezzabile soprattutto lungo i sentieri di pietra. Immergetevi nelle acque cristalline del fiume Maggia per un bagno nei bacini rocciosi naturali. Gustate nei grotti rustici il Nostrano, il vino della Vallemaggia. The ride continues through beautiful, unspoiled Val S-charl, partly on unpaved roads, along deep ravines and steep rock walls. If you like horses, be sure to visit the San Jon riding stables (PostBus stop Scuol, San Jon). This is also the starting point of a beautiful hiking trail to Lischana Hut Following a hike on the Bärenweg path (PostBus stop Scuol. Schmelzra) you can then visit the family-friendly Schmelzra Museum to hear stories about the life of the mountain people and follow on the trail of bears (PostBus stop Scuol, Schmelzra). In winter, the remote and traffic-free S-charl hamlet can only be reached on cross-country touring skis, by horse-drawn carriage or on snowshoes (PostBus stop S-charl). Explore the mountains around S-charl and the adjacent Swiss National Park on foot, by bike, on an exciting rafting trip, on snowshoes or touring skis. Follow the hiking trail across Funtana da S-charl to Süsom Givé or across the Pass da Costainas  to Lü. The highest stone pine forest in Europe, located in the God da Tamangur nature preserve, has great ecological and cultural significance.

The Gempen Route starts in Dornach and continues through the beautiful natural scenery of the Schwarzbubenland region via Gempen to Liestal. Impressive hills, ravines and valleys can be explored hiking or biking or electro-biking. In Dornach, visit the former Capuchin monastery, a 22-m relief depicting a battle, the ruins of Dorneck Castle, the monumental Goetheanum, Nepomuk bridge, and the Schwarzbubenland natural history museum (PostBus stop Dornach-Arlesheim, Railway Station). The castles around Dornach can be reached on foot. Gempen is situated on wooded hills rising above the Birs Valley. This area has much to offer: an extensive hiking and biking trail system, Schartenflue with beautiful views from the observation tower, a mountain restaurant, cross-country ski trails, and sledding tracks (PostBus stop Gempen, Post Office). Enjoy horseback riding or swin-golfing in Hochwald (PostBus stop Hochwald, Post Office). Don’t miss the music box museum in Seewen (PostBus stop Seewen SO, Zelgli/Museum). Nothing is more delight full than a stroll through the colorful and fragrant orchards of Nuglar-St. Pantaleon at cherry blossom time. You can enter the cozy old town of Liestal with its painted buildings trough a small gate in the old ramparts. The Poets Museum, the Harmonium Museum and the regional museum of Basel-Country offer interesting exhibits (PostBus stop Liestal, Post Office).

Da Dornach parte la linea Gempen che vi porta a Liestal attraverso Gempen e lo splendido paesaggio naturale nello Schwarzbubenland, regione di relax a portata di mano. Ammirate le colline, le forre e le valli a piedi o in bicicletta/bici elettrica. Visitate a Dornach l’ex monastero dei Cappuccini, il rilievo della battaglia di Dornach lungo 22 m, i resti della fortezza di Dorneck, il monumentale Goetheanum, il ponte di Nepomuk e il museo di storia e cultura locale dello Schwarzbubenland (fermata AutoPostale Dornach-Arlesheim, stazione). Scoprite passeggiando le fortezze della regione che circondano Dornach. Gempen si trova su colline boschive che si ergono sopra la Birsthal. In questa regione trovate una fitta rete di percorsi per escursioni a piedi o in bici, la Schartenflue con torre panoramica e ristorante di montagna, piste da fondo e per slitte (fermata AutoPostale Gempen, posta). Ad Hochwald divertitevi a cavallo o giocando a swin golf (fermata AutoPostale Hochwald, posta). A Seewen vi aspetta il Museo degli automi musicali (fermata AutoPostale Seewen SO, Zelgli/museo). Nel periodo di fioritura dei ciliegi vale la pena passeggiare tra i frutteti profumati e colorati di Nuglar-St. Pantaleon. Attraverso la «Törli», la porta delle antiche mura di  Liestal, si raggiunge l’accogliente centro cittadino dalle case affrescate. Il museo dei poeti, l’Harmonium Museum e il museo cantonale di Basilea Campagna presentano interessanti mostre (fermata AutoPostale Liestal, posta).
