Gwnewch yn siŵr nad yw’r gerdd yn hirach na 50 llinell, nad yw hi wedi ei chyhoeddi o’r blaen, ei bod hi yn yr iaith Saesneg ac nad yw hi’n gyfieithiad o gerdd awdur arall, a’i gyrru hi gyda’r ffurflen gais â thâl mynediad i Llenyddiaeth Cymru.

Rydyn ni yma yng Nghyngor Celfyddydau Cymru’n credu bod yna achos cyfannol pwerus dros werth y celfyddydau. Mae’r celfyddydau yn gwneud cyfraniad hanfodol at ein bywydau ni i gyd, a dylem gydnabod hyn fel unigolion a gyda’n gilydd.
At Arts Council of Wales we believe there is a powerful case to be made for the value of the arts. Vital contributions are made to all of our lives from the arts, and this should be recognised both individually and collectively.

Wrth gyrraedd y theatr, gofynnir i bobl ddefnyddio eu dyfeisiadau symudol i rannu straeon â’r tîm. Yna bydd y dawnswyr yn cymryd y straeon hyn a’u prosesu hwy i symudiadau, gan ymgorffori syniadau y mae’r gynulleidfa yn pleidleisio arnynt drwy gydol y noson.
On entering the theatre, people will be asked to use their mobile devices to share stories with the team. Dancers will then take these stories and process them into movement, incorporating ideas voted on by the audience throughout the evening. A random selection of people in the theatre will even be able to control elements of the sound, light and video directly from their phones.

"Mae Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru yn hyrwyddo, yn datblygu ac yn buddsoddi mewn profiadau artistig a diwylliannol sy'n cyfoethogi bywydau pobl. "Arts Council of Wales champions, develops and invests in artistic and cultural experiences that enrich people's lives. Yna, mae’r Oriel yn cael ei thrawsnewid i safle diwydiant prysur, lle mae cyfrifiaduron a pheiriannau argraffu sydd wedi cael eu tynnu’n ddarnau yn cael eu haileni fel prototeipiau robotig yfory. Yng nghanol y gweithgarwch cyffrous hwn, mae teulu o robotiaid yn crwydro’r orielau: mae robot mam fawr gyda’i babanod yn symud yn ôl ac ymlaen, ac yn stopio dim ond pan mae ei lefel egni’n mynd yn isel.
The Gallery is transformed into a busy hive of industry, where disembowelled computers and printers are reborn as the robotic prototypes of tomorrow. In the midst of this feverish activity a family of robots roams the galleries: a big mamma robot with her babies trundle backwards and forwards, stopping only when their energy reserves run down. Their power supply is a ‘forest’ of battery feeding stations connected to renewable energy sources – solar panels on the Gallery’s roof and old bicycles recycled as human-powered dynamos.

Wallace's fascination with botany and natural history began in the valleys around Neath, and his passion for collecting insects took him first to the Amazon, and then on to The Malay Archipelago, where he collected prolifically new and wonderful species not known to man. Then whilst suffering from Malaria, he formalises his thoughts on the origin of species and discovers the theory of evolution.

Mae’r libretto, gan David Harsen, wedi’i seilio ar y stori gan yr awdur benywyddol cynnar Charlotte Perkins Gillman, lle mae dynes yn cael ei chloi mewn ystafell gan ei gŵr yn driniaeth orffwys at y felan ôl-esgor. Wedi treulio’r haf yn yr ystafell, mae’r ddynes ifanc yn dechrau dychmygu bod yna fodau ym mharwydydd yr ystafell.
The work by Holt, The Yellow Wallpaper, is a dramatic piece for soprano and orchestra. The libretto, by David Harsent, is based on the story by the early feminist writer Charlotte Perkins Gillman, where a woman is locked in a room by her husband as a rest cure for post-natal depression. After a summer spent in the room, the young woman begins to imagine that there are beings within the room’s walls.

Cafodd y ddrama ei chreu fel cyflwyniad i bobl ifanc, nid yn unig i’r theori o esblygiad, ond hefyd fel mewnwelediad i fywyd y naturiaethwr Fictoraidd, wnaeth ddarganfod y theori o esblygiad. Yna fe wnaeth e rannu ei syniad gyda Charles Darwin - ac fel maent yn dweud, hanes yw’r gweddill.
' You Should Ask Wallace,' is the story of Alfred Russel Wallace, performed by Ioan Hefin. The play was created as an introduction for young people, not only to the theory of evolution, but also as an insight into the life of a renowned Victorian naturalist, who discovered the theory of evolution. He then shared the idea with Charles Darwin - and as they say, the rest is history.

Nid dim ond yn y DG y gwelwyd gwaith Earthfall; roedd yna gamau cyffrous hefyd yn y berthynas barhaus â Theatr Chorea. Cafodd y perfformiad cyntaf o After the Birds, o flaen aelodau o Senedd yr UE yn Ludz ei gynnal ar yr un noson ag agoriad At Swim Two Boys yn Aberhonddu.

The show then went on to do two Christmas performances at the renowned Meyerhold Centre, an infamous venue for physical theatre. Since then, our paths crossed more than once as we went on to create pieces in Copenhagen and in August 2016 we both found ourselves on the Jury of the very same competition. The show is a melodrama full of action, excitement and laughs inspired by the comedy genius of Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and other stars of the golden age of the silver screen. It tells the story of a down-at-heel showman who is rapidly running out of acts for his travelling circus when a stranger arrives in town at the same time that the lion tamer has an unfortunate accident, the newcomer is 'volunteered' for the job with catastrophic and hilarious results. The multi-talented performers combine circus skills, slapstick comedy and an original musical score to create an incredible black and white show which encourages audiences of all ages to join in, booing the baddie and cheering the goody.

"Mae WOMEX yn gyfle ardderchog i ni ddod â llwyfan pwysicaf cerddoriaeth byd yma i Gymru yn ogystal â datblygu’r sector mewn dull cynaliadwy o fewn ein gwlad. Gallai gwaddol ac effeithiau WOMEX Caerdydd yn nhermau rhoi cerddoriaeth o Gymru ar lwyfan y byd fod yn fwy na’r marchnadoedd arferol. Dichon fod traddodiadau cerddorol dilys Cymru yn llai adnabyddus nag eiddo ein cefndryd Celtaidd. Byddai croesawu WOMEX yn cydweddu’n dda â’r llwyfan cynyddol sydd yna ar gyfer cerddoriaeth draddodiadol a cherddoriaeth byd Cymru, o fewn y wlad a thu hwnt i’w ffiniau."
"WOMEX is a great opportunity to bring the most important world music stage to Wales as well as developing the sector in a sustainable way within our country. The impact and legacy that WOMEX Cardiff could have in terms of placing music from Wales in the world would be greater than more established markets. Wales’ authentic music traditions are currently less familiar than that of our Celtic cousins. Hosting WOMEX would dovetail into a growing platform for Wales’ world and traditional music, both within and out of the country."

Mae ei ddawn wrth anadlu bywyd newydd i hen farddoniaeth gyda’i lais yn syfrdanol, ac mae yna gysylltiad thematig naturiol rhwng canu ghazal a’n traddodiad gwerin ni yng Nghymru. Dyma’r tro cyntaf erioed i ganu ghazal gael ei gyfuno â thraddodiad cerddorol arall, ac rwy’n gyffrous ac yn llawn chwilfrydedd wrth edrych ymlaen at y cyfle hwn i archwilio dau draddodiad diwylliannol sydd mor debyg ond mor wahanol i’w gilydd mewn ffordd hollol unigryw."
"I feel incredibly fortunate to be working with such a gifted and soulful musician as Tauseef. His talent for bringing ancient poetry alive with his voice is astounding, and there’s a natural thematic connection between ghazal singing and our folk tradition in Wales. This is the first time in history that ghazal singing has merged with another music tradition, and I’m extremely curious and excited by this unique exploration into our differing yet similar cultural heritage."

Announcing the grant, National Theatre Wales’ Head of Collaboration Devinda De Silva said: "I am thrilled and very grateful to Paul Hamlyn Foundation for their continued belief in our work, as it will ensure that Wales continues to lead the way in the field of arts engagement. We feel there’s a real urgency to develop new approaches, partnerships and the next generation of leaders, and this grant will be a huge boost to our efforts."

Yn y cyfamser, gan ddod â'r tymor cyfredol o adloniant byw i ben fydd dau gyngerdd gwych sy'n ffurfio rhan o Ŵyl Gerdd Aberdaugleddau a drama o'r radd flaenaf gan ddau o gwmnïau amatur lleol mwyaf poblogaidd Aberdaugleddau. Caiff Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime ei pherfformio gan Xenon Liberal Arts ac yna cawn gynhyrchiad Cwmni Theatr Touch and Go o Calendar Girls, a chlywn eu bod yn cynhyrchu calendr eu hunain ar gyfer hyn!
In the meantime, bringing the current season of live entertainment to a close are two great concerts which form part of the Milford Haven Music Festival, and some first class drama from two of Milford’s most popular local amateur companies. Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime is performed by Xenon Liberal Arts, followed by Touch and Go Theatre Company’s production of Calendar Girls for which, it is rumoured, they are producing their very own calendar!
