Sounding forest is a spruce wood. Spruces are particularly favoured by violin makers. Every summer renowned international musicians are invited to participate in the music festival “I Suoni delle Dolomiti” (sounds of the Dolomites) and to choose a spruce. A forest expert explains the character and the history of the tree. A Baptism ceremony ends with the musician playing a piece, dedicating it to the tree. A mysterious echo oscillates in the forest between people and nature.

Il bosco che suona è costituito da abeti di risonanza, particolarmente ricercati dai liutai. Ogni estate, musicisti di fama internazionale vengono invitati a partecipare al festival musicale "I Suoni delle Dolomiti" e a scegliere un abete rosso. Un esperto forestale rivela il “carattere” e la storia dell’abete scelto dal musicista. Il rito si conclude con l'esecuzione di un brano che il musicista dedica al suo abete. Una misteriosa risonanza fra uomo e natura vibra nel bosco.
