(Psalm 12:6).
"His words are pure as silver tried seven times in a furnace" (Psalm 12:6).
There is a law of prayer! It is a law meant to weed out beggarly, self-centered prayers - while, at the same time, making it possible for honest seekers to ask in confidence. In other words, we can pray for whatsoever we will, as long as it is his will.
Listen to Paul's words: "Walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us" (Ephesians 5:2). The apostle urged the Ephesians, "Jesus truly loves you — so walk as one who is greatly loved by God!"
Eerstens, Jesus sê: “wie My liefhet, hóm sal my Vader liefhê.” Met ander woorde, “God sal ‘n spesiale liefde vir jou hê omdat jy My gehoorsaam!”
This is one of the most powerful promises in the Word of God! First, Jesus says: "He that loveth me shall be loved of my Father." In other words, "God will have a special love for you because you obey Me!"

Weereens, praat Jesaja van Christus se voorbeeld: “Die Here HERE het my ‘n geoefende tong gegee, dat Ek kan weet om die vermoeide te verkwik met woorde: Hy wek elke môre, Hy wek my oor om te hoor soos die leerlinge. Die Here HERE het my oor geopen, en Ek was nie wederstrewig nie; Ek het nie agteruitgewyk nie” (Jesaja 50:4-5).
Again, Isaiah speaks of Christ’s example: “The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. The Lord God hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back” (Isaiah 50:4-5).

What about your household? Has it seemed hopeless to you? Are you watching rampant death among your loved ones? Believe these prophetic words of our blessed Lord: "For they shall be healed, and every thing shall live whither the river cometh."

So, waarom doen ons dit?
So, why do we do it? Why don’t we fear and reverence God’s Word on this matter? Why do we so easily speak of others with vain words? Why do we continue to use words carelessly, with an uncontrolled tongue? This Psalm tells us why: “Thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself.”

Amos speaks of God's judgments as "great tumults in the midst thereof" (Amos 3:9). The word tumult means a state of confusion. In other words, the nation would be turned into chaos and disarray by great attacks of violence and terror.
The words used in Scripture here speak of a holy hush, a great calm before the storm. And this silence is too holy, too incomprehensible for human minds. We can't even speculate as to why, in this period just prior to the final judgment, God in His heaven is silent.

Over and over these words are written, "And the Lord said unto Moses, come up unto the Lord...." Moses got one revelation of God's glory after another, until finally his face was aglow with the Lord's glory! Israel could not stand to look upon him!
I ask you, why don’t we consider our mental judgments of others to be a serious sin? Often when we meet someone, we immediately “size them up.” After just a few glances and a brief exchange of words, we think we can accurately measure that person. And we immediately judge their character by the little we’ve seen and heard.

God showed His church that a man can stand in the pulpit and preach about loving Jesus — but if he's not living those words, he's not loving Christ. He can cry and plead all he wants!
Of the watchman she asks, "Have you seen Him whom my soul loveth?" In other words, "Lead me to Him whom my soul longs for! You are the watchmen — bring me to Him!"

The Hebrew word Jeremiah uses for "curse" means "utterly detestable." In other words, the person who departs from God and leans instead on man is utterly detestable to Him!
  Liefde, Vrees, Gehoorsa...
If you truly have the fear of God in you, then you will obey His every word. And by doing that, you will be loving Him in the way He says is acceptable to Him.

Jy sien, geloof moet 'n goeie geheue hê.
You see, faith should have a good memory. Our rash and hasty words are results of our forgetting His past benefits. With David, we should pray:

Ringing in my soul are those awesome words that Jesus gave to His servants, whom He entrusted with His blessings and authority: "Give account!"

Listen with your spirit to these words: Satan knows his time is short, for he has "come down" to the earth. This planet is the final battleground! He has prepared his forces, and his strategy is underway. All of hell is one big, satanic operations network!
Jesus predicted that the last days will be a time of unprecedented fear. His very words were: "Upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken" (Luke 21:25-26).

“As julle in My bly en my woorde in julle, sal julle vra net wat julle wil hê, en julle sal dit verkry...Dit het Ek vir julle gesê, dat my blydskap in julle kan bly en julle blydskap volkome kan word” (Johannes 15:7,11).
"if ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.... These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full" (John 15:7,11). Beloved, fullness of joy comes from hearing His voice clearly!

Now, we wouldn’t dare rob somebody of his gold watch or bank account. Yet God states clearly that slandering someone’s name is robbery of the worst kind. And we can do it in the subtlest of ways: by pointing an accusing finger, questioning his character, passing on tidbits of gossip. Indeed, three of the most damning words we can speak are, “Have you heard?…” The mere suggestion of the question robs a person of something valuable. And it defiles our own mouth.
"Rooted and grounded" here means "to build under you a deep and stable foundation of knowing and understanding the love of God to you." In other words, the knowledge of God's love to you is the foundational truth upon which all other truths must build!

Jude said, "Enoch...prophesied...Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment" (Jude 14-15). Paul said, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words" (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).

His father must have been heartbroken. I believe he had told this son over and over: "Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine" (verse 31). In other words, "You have been with me all these years, and all I've owned has been yours for the asking. You know I would have given you anything — and yet you did not come in to lay hold of it!"
Bapanya pasti merasa sedih.

"For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell" (Colossians 1:19). "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily And ye are complete in him" (2:9-10). In other words, "In Him you have all provisions — everything you need!"

Amazingly, Paul wrote these words of hope and exhortation while in prison. In fact, they were a product of his longest imprisonment, probably in Caesarea. When Paul penned these words he had no hope of being released. As far as he knew, he could have been there for years, possibly the rest of his days.

"That they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God, and observe to do all the words of this law: And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the Lord your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it" (Deuteronomy 31:12-13).

In the Old Testament, God took a people unto Himself — a people no richer or smarter than the rest — only so that He could be God to them: "And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God" (Exodus 6:7). God was saying, in other words, "I'm going to teach you to be My people — so that I can be God to you!"

But words alone will not stand in the holy light of His Word, for Jesus Himself said two distinct things will reveal our love for Him. If these two evidences are not being revealed in your life, then your love for Jesus is in word alone — not in deed and in truth. These two evidences are: (1) your obedience to Jesus' every command and (2) a manifestation of His presence in your life.

Mark my words, THE DAY HAS ALREADY COME — multitudes of prosperity lovers led by their success preachers share one great concern — TO BRING IN A BRIGHT, NEW DAY OF ENDLESS PROSPERITY AND BLISS! When the darkness of recession and depression begins to fall all around, they cry out, "How long will it last? How soon until we are back in the sunlight of good times? How deep, how long will be the darkness?" They prophesy great and prosperous times just ahead.

You may hear two ministers, each sincere, each preaching the same message. The doctrine of both may be right, and each one may preach with gusto. Yet the words of one are lifeless and fall on deaf ears; nothing results. But the words of the other prick the heart like a sword. This preacher shares and reveals the true burden of the Lord, because he has been shut in with Jesus and can speak what is on His heart. The Lord's presence through him brings both conviction and life.

Jesus het elke menslike bekommernis in Sy Vader se hand oorgegee. Met ander woorde, Hy het gesê, “Ek sal my hele lewe en al my tyd daaraan spandeer om My Vader te gehoorsaam om Sy volmaakte wil te doen – en Hy sal vir my sorg op Sy manier.”
As a man, Jesus learned obedience and dependence by the things He suffered, such as this crisis of hunger. What Jesus actually was saying is this: "I am not here to please myself or to pamper my flesh. I am here to do the perfect will of My Father." Jesus relinquished every single human care into His Father's hand. In other words He said, "I will spend all my life and all my time obeying My Father, doing His perfect will — and He will take care of me His way."

"And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book...and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the Lord his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them" (Deuteronomy 17:18-19).

(Jesaja 53:8).
Yet he had just been reading about the coming man’s glory and greatness when he stumbled on Isaiah’s baffling words: “Who shall declare his generation? For he was cut off out of the land of the living” (53:8). “In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? For his life is taken from the earth” (Acts 8:33). Finally, the diplomat read a verse that seemed to contradict these things: “He shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand” (Isaiah 53:10).
The children of Israel told Moses, "Go thou near, and hear all that the Lord our God shall say...unto us...and we will hear it, and do it.... And the Lord said unto (Moses), I have heard the voice of the words of this people...they have well said all that they have spoken. O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always" (Deuteronomy 5:27-29).

This verse says it all: "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me...and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him" (John 14:21 KJV). "Manifest" means to "shine or break forth" — in other words, to become an instrument or channel that radiates Christ's presence.

A holy man of God once wrote: "Surely, when the saints shall be exalted in their holiness, when every one of them shall have their hearts filled with God, it will cause abundant fear in the hearts of those who shall even talk with them." In other words, when you are full of Jesus, you automatically become a rebuke and reproof to anyone who has secret sin in his heart!

Today even Christians are experiencing overwhelming despair, much like what I've just described. But God is saying this to His people: "You are in despair simply because you do not trust in Me. You turn to others — to doctors, to friends, to counselors, to medicine, to finances. You are not uplifted by My promises; you let the words of men cast you down. You have cursed yourself by not coming to Me. You feel dry, empty. You are lonely — because you are not drawing water from My well!"

Met ander woorde: as jy jou hemelse Vader vir ‘n woord vra – duidelike leiding, ‘n goddelike teregwysing, ‘n spesifieke behoefte, dink jy vir ‘n oomblik Hy sou in plaas daarvan, die duiwel laat kom en jou mislei?
Jesus says: "If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?" (Luke 11:11–12). In other words: if you ask your heavenly Father for a word — a clear direction, a godly correction, a particular need do you think for a moment He would instead let the devil come and deceive you?"

A true revival, as I see it, is a restoration of this kind of intense love for Jesus. This love is marked by a new desire to obey His every word, a heart attitude that says, "Whatever He says, I will do." Indeed, a revival is a return to obedient love by a people who individually have confessed and forsaken all sin, desiring only to become channels of Christ's presence. Revival is embodied in these people. They carry Christ's glory and presence with them because His life flows through them at all times.

Amazingly, Paul wrote these words of hope and exhortation while in prison. In fact, they were a product of his longest imprisonment, probably in Caesarea. When Paul penned these words he had no hope of being released. As far as he knew, he could have been there for years, possibly the rest of his days.

Jesus lived and preached, constantly under the knowledge that He was fulfilling the words of the prophets, "Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and ALL THINGS THAT ARE WRITTEN BY THE PROPHETS concerning the Son of Man shall be accomplished" (Luke 18:31). Hulle kon my nie help nie...”
How sad these words are: "It was but a little that I passed from them; but I have found Him whom my soul loveth…" The bride is confessing, "When I got away from the blind watchmen, then I found Him! They could not help me…." Isaiah said: "His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark: sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber…" (Isaiah 56:10).

Enoch saw this world as ungodly. His own society was wicked, and as he looked down through all of history to the very last days, all he could say was, "Ungodly! Ungodly! Ungodly." "Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him" (Jude 14-15).

Jeremiah describes "the sin of Judah" (17:1) as the sin of believers, not of the heathen surrounding them. The sin of God's own people was this: In difficult times they didn't turn to Him in faith but instead sought help from the flesh. How God must grieve over this, and over the language of hopelessness used by so many downcast Christians. I shudder when I hear believers use these words of despair: "It's no use!" "There's no hope!" Israel used this same language when they despaired: "And they said, There is no hope" (Jeremiah 18:12).

Byvoorbeeld, ‘n vrou kan argumenteer, “As my man tog net sal verander! Hy het my regtig diep seergemaak. Hy verwaarloos my, hy probeer nie verstaan nie. Sy woorde maak my diep seer. Hy maak my liefde dood. As hy tog net kan verander, sal ek gelukkig wees.”
Much of the hurting and the hopelessness you experience is a result of being let down by someone you trusted — someone close to you. For example, a wife may argue, "If my husband would only change! He really has hurt me deeply. He neglects me, he doesn't try to understand. His words cut me so deeply. He is killing my love. If only he could change, I'd be happy."
