Wir standen circa sechs Stunden in der Kälte und starrten in den Himmel. Etwas Vergleichbares haben wir seitdem nie mehr erlebt, die Lichter zogen uns in ihren Bann. Diese gemeinsame Erfahrung hat uns tief mit den anderen Zuschauern verbunden, das werden wir nicht so schnell vergessen.

Mareen: In September we were on the way to Dalsnibba in Norway. At a short stop we met some Germans with whom we came into conversation. We found out that northern lights had been predicted for that night. So we stayed in the parking lot and prepared for the spectacle. But the weather was not on our side: the sky closed in and thick fog blocked the sky. Disappointed, most of the travelers broke up again, but we made ourselves comfortable in our Cutter and prepared for the night - until suddenly someone knocked on the door: another traveler pointed out to us that not only the stars were out in their splendor. What awaited us outside was indescribable: the heavens danced in their brightest colors – the northern lights! We were standing in the cold for about six hours, staring at the sky. We have never seen anything like it; the lights drew us under their spell. This shared experience has deeply connected us with the other viewers; it is something we are not likely to forget.

Mareen: En septiembre estuvimos en Noruega en camino al pico de Dalsnibba. Durante una breve parada encontramos a unos alemanes con quienes entablamos un diálogo. Aprendimos que se habían pronosticado auroras boreales para la noche siguiente. Así que pasamas la noche en el aparcamiento preparándonos para el espectáculo natural. Sin embargo, el tiempo no estaba de nuestro lado: el cielo se cubría de nubes y se formaba una densa niebla. Desilusionados, la mayoría de los turistas se pusieron nuevamente en marcha, nosotros en cambio nos acurrucamos en nuestro cúter preparándonos para la noche – hasta que, de repente, alguién llamó a la puerta del cúter: otro turista nos advirtió que no sólo fueran las estrellas que se manfestaron en todo su esplendor. De hecho, lo que vimos ahí fuera, fue realmente indescriptible: el cielo se veía iluminado en unos fantásticos colores – las auroras boreales! Nos quedamos parados unas seis horas en el frío mirando fijamente al cielo. Desde entonces, nunco hemos vivido nada igual, las luces nos magnetizaron. Esta experiencia común nos ha conectado profundamente con los demás espectadores y no la olvidaremos fácilmente.
