Our partially abstract desire for ultimate happiness – a happiness that goes beyond what we can see here and now – supports the idea that we have an immortal soul. The soul is what makes us ourselves, and enables us to consciously choose good or evil. Our soul is created by God. Evolution deals with the body; the Creation story gives us insight into what is housed in that body: the soul. Both are necessary if we want to better understand the world as God has created it.

Il nostro desiderio parzialmente astratto di felicità ultima – una felicità che vada oltre quello che possiamo vedere qui ed ora – sostiene l’idea che abbiamo un’anima immortale. L’anima è ciò che ci rende noi stessi, e ci permette di scegliere coscientemente il bene o il male. La nostra anima è creata da Dio. L’evoluzione ha a che fare con il corpo; la storia della creazione ci fa vedere che cosa è ospitato in quel corpo: l’anima. Entrambi sono necessari se vogliamo comprendere meglio il mondo come Dio l’ha creato.

Het deels abstracte verlangen van mensen naar het ultieme geluk, dat verder gaat dan wat we nu zien, ondersteunt het idee dat we een onsterfelijke ziel hebben. Door die ziel zijn we onszelf en kunnen we bewuste keuzes maken voor het goede of het foute. Onze ziel is door God geschapen. Evolutie gaat over het lichaam; het scheppingsverhaal geeft ons inzicht in dat wat in dat lichaam huist: de ziel. Beide zijn nodig om de wereld zoals God die geschapen heeft beter te leren kennen.

Mimo jiné i na základě lidské touhy po dokonalém štěstí, které přesahuje to, co můžeme vidět teď a tady, lze usuzovat, že člověk má nesmrtelnou duši. Duše je to, díky čemu je člověk tím, kým je, a co mu umožňuje vědomě volit mezi dobrem a zlem. Naše duše je stvořena Bohem. Není vyloučené, že tělo mohlo podléhat evoluci. Příběh o stvoření však odkazuje na tajemství lidské duše.

Częściowo abstrakcyjne ludzkie pragnienie wiecznego szczęścia, które wykracza poza to, co teraz widzimy, potwierdza ideę o nieśmiertelność duszy ludzkiej. Dzięki duszy jesteśmy sobą i możemy podejmować świadome wybory między dobrem a złem. Nasza dusza została stworzona przez Boga. Ewolucja dotyczy naszego ciała, zaś biblijna historia stworzenia świata daje nam wgląd w to, co zamieszkuje w naszym ciele: duszę. Zarówno ciało, jak i dusza potrzebne są nam do poznawania świata stworzonego przez Boga.
