Факультет технологии и менеджмента в пищевой промышленности (ФТМПП) является самым крупным учебным подразделением в области пищевой промышленности в Республике Молдова. ФТМПП берет свое начало с 1959 года, когда на Химическом факультете Молдавского государственного университета были открыты специальности «Технология вина» и «Технология консервирования».

The Department of Management and Technology in the Food Industry (FMTFI) is one of the largest educational facilities in the food industry field of the Republic of Moldova. The department’s origins descend back to 1959 when the Wine Production and Conservation Technology Department was established within the Chemistry Department of the State University of Moldova. In 1964 the Polytechnic Institute of Chisinau was founded, which was later renamed into the Technical University of Moldova. The Department of Management and Technology in the Food Industry (FMTFI) has an academic staff of 8 PhD professors and 50 associate professors. Within FMTFI there has been established a French division of “Food Technology Studies”, where 115 students are currently enrolled, grouped in 5 academic departments.

Facultatea de Tehnologie şi Management în Industria Alimentară (FTMIA) este cea mai mare unitate de învăţământ din domeniul industriei alimentare din Republica Moldova. Drept origini ale FTMIA au fost specialităţile Tehnologia Vinului şi Tehnologia Conservării, fondate în 1959 în cadrul Facultăţii de Chimie a Universităţii de Stat din Moldova. În 1964 se înfiinţează Institutul Politehnic din Chişinău, care ulterior este re-denumit în Universitatea Tehnică din Moldova. La Facultatea de Tehnologie şi Management în Industria Alimentară a UTM îşi desfăşoară activitatea un colectiv profesoral care cuprinde 8 profesori, doctori habilitaţi şi 50 conferenţiari doctori în ştiinţe. În cadrul FTMIA, activează şi o filieră francofonă "Tehnologii Alimentare". În prezent, la această filieră îşi fac studiile 5 grupe academice, care numără 115 studenţi.
