«Я также хотел бы, чтобы мы наладили конструктивное сотрудничество и по другим важным для Беларуси проблемам, к примеру, таким как предотвращение торговли женщинами, борьба с распространением наркомании среди молодежи и другим. Было бы замечательно, если бы и в этих вопросах различные церковные организации нас также поддержали», — сказал Кевин Мак–Грэт.

According to Mikola Matrunchik, who briefed the participants about the activities of BRT on HIV/AIDS in 2002–2003, the Belarusian Round Table and the UN Office in Belarus have collaborated for already three years. Kevin McGrath, UN Resident–Coordinator in Belarus, said that in the African countries where he had worked before, various churches had made a valuable contribution in HIV/AIDS programs. "In terms of HIV prevention, in my opinion it is very important to engage the church community as this would allow to outreach much more population with prevention efforts", — said UN Resident–Coordinator. Mr McGrath believes that such meetings should be held on a regular basis in order to establish a closer cooperation between church and civil society thus fostering the efforts on averting HIV/AIDS crisis. "It would be useful if we could establish constructive co–operation for addressing other concerns in Belarus such as, for example, combating trafficking in women, prevention of drug abuse among young people and others. It would be great if various church organizations could support our efforts", — said Kevin McGrath.
