Детски и средношколски комплекс организира през месец юли „Ваканция в библиотеката". Още в началото на месеца деца от различни варненски училища прекараха своя първи ваканционен ден в читалните зали на комплекса. Като всяко начало и това беше „срамежливо", но след приятните мигове, прекарани в четене, обсъждане, рисуване и апликиране, на малките приятели на библиотеката не им се тръгваше. Много от децата се изявиха като бъдещи аниматори, а рисунките говорят сами за таланта на малките художници.

In the month of July, the library's Teen Department organized a "Holiday in the Library". Starting in the beginning of the month, children from different schools in Varna spent the first days of their holiday in the reading rooms of the complex. Like every beginning, this one was "shy" as well, but after the pleasant times spent in reading, discussions, drawing and scrapbooking, the library's little friends did not want to leave. Many children showed skills in animation, and the drawings speak for themselves of the little painters' talent. Volunteers from the First English Language Schools helped the library holiday to turn into something special for every participant. The children wanted to get a glimpse of the history and legends of their place of birth, their interests lead them to the world of outer space, plants, animals, travel. With the helpd of Elitsa Mateeva, an applicant for volunteer, director and children's writer, they got to know the games their grandparents played, they composed crosswords, they drew comics, they performed magic tricks. Furing the second half of the month, two more volunteers from the First English Language School took part in "Holiday in the Library". The children discussed with them fairy tales heroes in movies, inventions, pirates and treasures, the mummies and pharaos of Egypt, fairies, magicians and zombies, computers.
