To be honest, I don't know, answer this question yourselves.

To tell the truth, it is hard to believe that such actions are purposeful, and it must be admitted that our authorities could not hit upon such a thing. The problem rather lies in the system itself and includes a number of factors. We are not able to penetrate into the mysterious world of textbook authors, but we can guess that those working at the Ministry of Education – which approves these textbooks –are most likely not uncompromising censors, but fawning officials who seek to please someone. Otherwise, how to explain why they allow such textbooks to be published?

A question emerges: should such tales be read to children? Even if the evil king is punished in the end or becomes kinder and a philosophical conclusion is drawn from the parable. The fact that these stories are published on many websites on Armenian mythology makes one suppose that they are most popular. To be honest, it is somewhat terrifying. Where is the beautiful, the kind and the eternal?... However, if one takes into account some peculiarities of Armenian character…Perhaps Armenian authors had exact reference points while creating such texts. For nice stories about fairies or beautiful princesses cannot help create the “great Armenia” and cultivate hatred for neighbors and those whose bread you eat.

Although we know all this, we continue to conceal the truth from our children. We believe that if children learn the whole truth about the Armenians at an early age, they will grow up cowards, envenomed and mentally traumatized. Our people try to protect their children at every turn, even at the price of concealing the truth. We need not go far for examples. I will give my own example. Until a certain age, I was not allowed to watch Chingiz Mustafayev's reportage on Khojaly3 at home. The explanation was that I could feel bad and my heart could ache. To tell the truth, I don't know whether or not my parents were right not to allow me watch such shots. I think it would be better if the children's hearts ache from the painful and terrible truth now than if they live in the dark and in sweet lie and encounter headache later, at a mature age. I am for telling our children the whole truth about our enemies, and it is up to them to decide whom to hate and whom to love.

This was exactly what Shushanik was waiting for. Her lips touched mine. We were burning in fire. At 17, for the first time, I experienced the kiss of a woman. More specifically, I felt it. I was trembling and could hardly contain myself. I was not the kisser. Shushanik was kissing me, pressing herself to my breast. I stood in embarrassment. My faith in love between an Azerbaijani and an Armenian was left behind. I was feeling it now. The feeling of it plunged me into the labyrinth of love. I would either drown there or survive. Tears running from Shushanik's eyes were dripping on my breast. She was purring like a cat. I stopped being myself. I was in Shushanik's world. I had only read in books about such passion and love, confused while reading. I had even learnt by heart the endings of love stories from One Thousand and One Nights. Now, I was the hero of one of the tales. But I was not a Sultan. We both were graduates of a secondary school. In the sin of the "Graduation Party". In the park, on the grass, under a tree. We got beyond the bounds. It was too late, however. To be honest, I was pleased. I loved Shushanik and she knew it now. All right, but how shall I tell my parents about all this?

To be honest, I was very surprised to see that my stories, plays and newspaper publications, in Russian translation, are published on that website. I immediately wanted to know by whom the website was created. With the first impression being that the website is created by the Azerbaijani side, a more or less attentive user can easily determine that all this is yet another trick by the Armenian side. Azerbaijani children's paintings on military theme, which participated in various competitions, are used in the portal's design. The portal's sections – Literature (prose and poetry), Publicism, Tales, Textbooks, etc. – feature works by Azerbaijani authors about the Armenians, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the life of refugees. Thus, the Armenians attempt to present us, Azerbaijanis, as a people full of hatred, a people training children to enmity3 since their early years. Alongside renowned authors like Uzeyir Hajibekov, Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, Mirza Alakbar Sabir, Jabir Novruz and Fikret Sadiq, the website also features young Azerbaijani writers.
