В 2016 году внимание художественного руководителя И.Райхельгауза обратилось к Гоголю и...на свет родилась очень интересная постановка. Современная и...классическая. С джазом, вокалом и даже катанием на коньках.\"Шинель\" Гоголя-это ода маленькому человеку, исполнявшему свой долг с усердием, честно и с удовольствием. И, как это часто бывает и в жизни, не получавшему должного уважения.Не смотря на перенос сюжета в современные реалии, во время спектакля ты все равно оказываешься в Петербурге 19-го века. А купленная Акакием Акакиевичем шинель, которая присутствует в спектакле и в виде современного пуховика, и в виде огромного пальто, становится разменной монетой человеческой жизни. В самой постановке прекрасно все:идея подачи (особенно идея пояснения некоторых слов и определенных жизненных нюансов, характерных для дореволюционной России), музыкальное сопровождение (джазовая музыка отлично дополняет спектакль), игра актеров и вокал главного героя,оформление сцены.
