On 12 May, 2011, Dr. Patricia Flor, the Special Envoy of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany for Eastern Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asia, delivered a lecture at the YSU Centre for European Studies. The lecture was devoted to the German Government’s policy in South Caucasus. Dr. Flor highlighted the importance of such meetings, which create supportive environment for discussing current regional challenges, the role of Germany and the EU in the region.

The presentation of the book “World Economy Today: Main intentions and developments” took place on September 19, 2012 at Robert Shuman Hall and was jointly organized by the Centre for European Studies, Yerevan State University and the Alternative Center for Education, Policy Research and Economic Analyses. The greeting speech was delivered by Artur Ghazinyan, the Director of the Center for European Studies, who underlined and stressed the importance of the research carried out in this field by a number of prominent universities and thanked the whole team for the strenuous efforts that had been taken during the last 10 years in order to bring to public view the issues and modern problems of today’s international and world economy. He also gave a great significance to the fact that the book was a collaboration of different authoritative international universities, companies and organizations of the world, which would create unbiased and objective approaches in regard to the dynamic developments of the worldwide economy.
