El encuentro que se realizó en Lima, Perú tuvo como propósito la formulación de directrices para la Política de Recursos Humanos en Salud de la UNASUR, que permitirá orientar el desarrollo y fortalecimiento de la gestión de los recursos humanos en los países miembros. La Reunión promovida por el GT, reunió a representantes de los Ministerios de Salud de Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Guyana, Perú, Uruguay, y Venezuela además de las representaciones de la Red de Escuelas de Salud Pública (RESP/UNASUR), el Instituto Suramericano de Gobierno en Salud (ISAGS/UNASUR) y de la Organización Panamericana de la Salud (OPS/OMS).

Die Umfrageergebnisse zeigten, dass über zwei Drittel der US-Amerikaner dem Freihandel mit Europa positiv gegenüber stehen, sofern er Arbeit und Wachstum bringt oder als Gegengewicht zur chinesischen Handelsmacht steht. Es gaben allerdings nur 9% der US-Wähler an, wirklich über die TTIP-Verhandlungen Bescheid zu wissen, was das Thema für die Kongressabgeordneten wenig attraktiv mache. Die Kommunikation mit den Bürgern sei auch in Deutschland ein Problem, da die Vorteile bisher zu wenig erläutert worden seien. Stattdessen sei in den USA eine emotionale Debatte über den Schutz von Markenrechten aufgekommen, die parallel zur deutschen Chlorhühnchen-Debatte laufe. Genannte Vorteile von TTIP seien ein vielfältigeres Angebot, niedrigere Kosten, Jobsicherheit und Arbeitsplatzwachstum. Die Teilnehmer stimmten einander zu, dass TTIP nicht zur Verschlechterung der jeweiligen Standards führen würde, sondern man damit sogar ein Freihandelsvorbild mit hohen Standards schaffen könne. In jedem Fall sollten die Verhandlungen bald erste Ergebnisse bringen. Andernfalls werde die gesamte öffentliche Debatte über TTIP weiterhin auf Spekulationen basieren.
