The project runs until the end of December 2017 and envisages the implementation of seven workshops and one high-level conference. All workshops and the concluding conference will focus on assessing the Interim National Constitution of the Republic of the Sudan of 2005 and its implementing legislation from a comparative constitutional law perspective. The individual workshop activities will be addressed to an inclusive and representative group of influential high-ranking members from across the most representative Sudanese political parties, including members from the government as well as from the opposition, and representatives of Sudanese regional and other interest groups and civil society. Beyond, to ensure that the discussions taking place in the fora are directly addressed to the respective institutions assigned with the implementation and protection of the constitution, the Max Planck Foundation further extends the invite only forum to institutional representatives such as judges of the Sudanese judiciary, Sudanese parliamentarians, representatives from the Sudanese Ministry of Justice, members of the Sudanese National Human Rights Commission and/or other relevant policy officials in Sudan.

Additionally, re:work covers the travel costs to Berlin and back. A fully equipped office can be provided as well as organisational help to apply for a visa, and housing, etc. During the fellowship, re:work also encourages fellows to introduce their work to a wider audience within Berlin’s scientific community. The fellows are invited to propose guest lectures, workshops as well as publications. Apart from that, the social partners (ETUC, BusinessEurope) as well as the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and the Committee of the Regions (CoR) were allocated time to represent their positions. Overall, the role and the significance of the social partners in connection with "Europe's Social Dimension" were frequently referred to. And this crucial role became quite clear during the conference: All best-practice examples came from countries with a deeply rooted social partner/tripartite tradition. As an example, one could refer to the Danish Initiative, which was presented in the workshop "Equal Access to Labour Markets and Skills Development", on the qualification/continuous training of low-skilled workers in the food sector, which is based on the cooperation of employer and employee representations at national, regional and company level.

Darüber hinaus wurde auch den Sozialpartnern (EGB, BusinessEurope), sowie dem Europäischen Wirtschafts- und Sozialausschuss (EWSA) und dem Ausschuss der Regionen (AdR) Platz eingeräumt, um ihre Positionen darzustellen.
