U tako blagoj klimi na lošinjskom otočnom prostoru trajno je zelena vegetacija. Malološinjanin prof. Ambroz Haračić osnovao je 1880. Meteorološku stanicu i 17 godina je vodio proučavajući lošinjsku klimu.

Because of the afore mentioned position of Mali Losinj in a closed harbor with south-western orientation, with the background of high vegetation that protects the island from the Velebit range, the influence of the north wind is not felt in the town. The entrance to the harbor, next to the coves of Cikat and Krivica, is completely protected, so that even during the strongest north winds, walking is possible in that part of the island. On average Mali Losinj has 118 days of total calmness without winds.

In so einem milden Klima auf dem Inselgebiet von Losinj ist die Vegetation immergrün. Prof. Ambroz Haracic aus Mali Losinj gründete 1880 die Wetterdienststelle und war 17 Jahre ihr Leiter, der das Klima von Losinj erforschte. Er legte wissenschaftlich fest, dass auf der Insel Losinj zwei Pflanzenwelten zusammentreffen – die istrische und die dalmatinische. Aus diesem Grund gedeihen es im üppigen Klima von Losinj Zitronen, Orangen, Mandarinen, Feigen, Oliven, Mandeln, Johannisbrote und japanische Khakis, indische Feigen, amerikanische Agaven und Aloas, Palmen, Magnolien, Myrte, Jasmin, Mimosen, Oleander, Tannen, Fichten, Kiefern und Pinien, Zypressen, Zeder und Sekvoen, Lorbeer, Erdbeeren, Salbei, Rosmarin und andere aromatische Pflanzen.

L'umiditr dell'aria e ottimale, il tasso medio annuale si agira sul 72%. Purezza del aria eccezionale, basso grado di aereoinquinamento ed insufficienza degli aggressivi allergeni. Nell' aria troviamo anche la combinazione della polline ed spore (aereoplancton) di origine vegetale della isola che c molto benefica per allergie, presso con l'influenza anche il naturale marittimo aerosole (composizione principale e sale marino) quale altrettanto troviamo nell'aria. La concentrazione dell' aerosol marittimo dipende della quantitr che si trova nel mare, per esempio il tasso medio in Adriatico comporta circa 3,7%.

Dzięki tak łagodnemu klimatowi wyspa Losinj jest ciągle zielona. Prof. Ambroz Haracic z Mali Losinj założył w 1880 roku stację meteorologiczną i przez 17 lat prowadził badania klimatu wyspy. Potwierdził naukowo, że na wyspie Losinj spotykają się dwie flory – istryjska i dalmatyńska. Dlatego na wyspie rosną cytryny, pomarańcze, mandarynki, figi, oliwki, migdały, chleb świętojański i japońskie kaki, figi indyjskie, amerykańska agawa i alovera, palmy, magnolie, mirta, jaśmin i mimoza, oleandry, jodła, świerk, sosna, drzewa piniowe, cyprysy, cedr, sekwoja, laur, dąb, szałwia, rozmaryn i wiele innych aromatycznych roślin.
