Masks (disposable, cartridge, etc.) must filter chemical particles, gases and other particles suspended in the air in order to fully protect their users, while restricting breathing as little as possible. These two objectives are at times difficult to reach with mechanical filtration. Triboelectric filtration then becomes the ideal choice for this application.

Bastien Cosson's work is varied, it is not limited to one material, process or particular thought. It encompasses multiple aspects with the imperative to always adapt the works to the exhibition space. The artist goes to shops alleys and cities' sidewalks in search for materials from which could emerge forces and affects when confronted to other materials. The artist transfers this meticulous collecting work in set up where the objects can dialogue, in order to enhance the mental images those objects may bear within the popular consciousness.

This audio example illustrates some of the possibilities given by CORDIS-ANIMA's synthesis using physically-based models. At ACROE, the physically-based model principle isn't considered as a restrictive model for natural phenomena, but more generally as a formalism permitting to design effects that are relevant to perception. This relevancy isn't obtained by merely imitating the natural sound-producing object, but by respecting certain properties present in nature and fundamental for cognition.

Because of the scientific confusion regarding sensitivities, individuals have difficulty finding and providing expert evidence in the United States, and may have this difficulty in Canada as well.

Eric follows the principles of what he calls “reasoned viticulture”, meaning he will not use chemical fertilizer, nor weed killer, but he will not stick by an artificial regulation if it is too strict. “I refuse to be the prisoner of a system, be it organic agriculture or another! My job is not to adhere to an ideology but to produce beautiful grapes,” he says. And that sums it all …

The scope of application of this Royal Decree is national, but we have to take into account the different regulations in every autonomous community and apply the most restrictive one in each case. In Catalonia we find the regulation 82/2005 on Environmental Regulation of Lighting to protect the environment at night. This regulation covers the aspects relating to the zoning of Catalonia according to the protection of the land from light pollution; it establishes the characteristics of the installations and of the lighting devices according to the protection areas in which they are installed; and it regulates how lighting works according to the season, the time, maintenance, and adaptation of the existing light.

The report shows that in the fruit-and-vegetable sector sensitivities in particular regions of the EU will be the dominant factor influencing the course of reform and the development of trade relations in individual sub-sectors. While Namibia is the only ACP country currently producing table grapes for export to the EU, a restrictive duty-free quota of only 800 tonnes exists, despite the fact that given the scale and off-season nature of Namibian production, exports have no impact on the EU market. The principle of community trade preference drives EU trade policy in the table-grape sector (as in many sub-sectors of fruit and vegetables), with the direction being determined by particular regional concerns, rather than the general overall principles of EU trade policy.

The Senegal River Basin Development Organization (OMVS) and the Niger Basin Authority (NBA) are recognized as examples of international watercourse governance best practices. Thanks to a set of skills that goes beyond the restrictive framework of flows management, they constitute genuine agencies for economical and social development. Despite their proximity, these organisations differ as their respective path to success undergone highly contingent features. Therefore we propose to compare the evolution of governance with respect to the Senegal and Niger watercourses in order to highlight common factors that led to coordination success as well as specificities of each case. We thereby ensure the tranposability of each model.

Section 59 of the Pharmacy Act has remained essentially unchanged since 1875 (38 Vict, c. 37, s. 24), except that the words “unless the drugs or poisons contemplated by this act are sold for therepeutic purposes” were added by 1-2 Eliz. II, c. 55, s.47. Does this clearly indicate that a doctor may no longer sell medicines as part of his treatment, contrary to the situation up to that time? I think not, especially since, under s. 59 of the Medical Act, a doctor may recover compensation for medicine he may have “furnished” (fournis). This verb (fournir) is used in the second paragraph of s. 20 of the Pharmacy Act, according to which a hospital may “supply” (fournir) drugs to its patients, even if they are not hospitalized. I see nothing in these provisions which limits to a very short period the right of doctors to supply “medicines”. In the absence of any clearly restrictive provision, a doctor is entitled to supply the medicine indicated by the treatment and require compensation from the patient.

In T 592/99 the opposition division had revoked the patent under Art. 102(1) EPC 1973. On appeal, the board noted that, the feature as originally disclosed having been replaced by the feature objected to under Art. 100(c) EPC 1973, the claim as such related to different products. The board concluded that in keeping with "Order 1" of G 1/93 (OJ 1994, 541) the patent in suit contained subject-matter which extended beyond the content of the application as filed, which was prohibited by Art. 123(2) EPC 1973. Thus, the patent could not be maintained unamended, because the ground for opposition under Art. 100(c) EPC 1973 prejudiced the maintenance of the patent. On the other hand, the board observed that it could not be amended since deleting the limiting subject-matter from the claims would extend the protection conferred, which was prohibited by Art. 123(3) EPC 1973.

Shares and partnership interests - In cases where the consideration for certain types of restrictive covenants directly relates to the grantor's disposition of an eligible interest and where five additional requirements are satisfied and the grantor and buyer elect in prescribed form. An eligible interest means capital property of the grantor that is a partnership interest in a partnership that carries on a business, or a share of the capital stock of a corporation that carries on a business. In these cases, part of the amount receivable for the covenant may be treated as part of the proceeds for the disposition of the eligible interest, to the extent that the covenant increases the fair market value (FMV) of the grantor's eligible interest. The remaining part of the amount receivable for the covenant (that is in excess of the part treated as proceeds of disposition of the eligible interest) will be taxable as ordinary income. For an illustration of the treatment of a restrictive covenant when this exception applies, see Treatment of a restrictive covenant.
