Op beide foto's zijn dezelfde kleuren gebruikt voor de chemische elementen, de stoffen waaruit de ster en het ster-restant bestaan. Vóór de explosie had de zware ster waarschijnlijk veel ijzer (blauw), zwavel en silicium (groen) in zijn kern.

In both pictures the same colours have been used to show the different chemical elements in the star. Before the explosion, astronomers think that the star had lots of the chemical element iron (shown in blue) and sulphur and silicon (shown in green) at its centre. But afterwards, these chemical elements were flung towards the outer edges of the star, as shown by the blue and green colours around the outer parts of Cas A in the photo on the right. Basically, the star has turned inside out!

En las dos imágenes se han utilizado los mismos colores para mostrar los diferentes elementos químicos de la estrella. Antes de la explosión, los astrónomos piensan que las estrella tenía grandes cantidades del elemento hierro (mostrado en azul) y azufre y silicio (mostrados en verde) en su centro. Pero después, estos elementos químicos fueron lanzados hacia los bordes exteriores de la estrella, tal como se ve por los colores azules y verdes alrededor de las partes exteriores de Cas A en la foto de la derecha. Básicamente, ¡la estrella se ha dado la vuelta!

In entrambe le immagini, gli stessi colori sono usati per identificare gli elementi chimici che costituiscono la stella. Gli astronomi ritengono che prima dell'esplosione la stessa avesse una grande abbondanza dell'elemento chimico ferro (mostrato in blu), e di zolfo e silicio (mostrati in verde) nel suo centro. Ma dopo l'esplosione, questi elementi chimici sono stati fatti volare verso il bordo della stella, come si vede dai colori blu e verde distribuiti attorno alle parti esterne di Cas A nella foto a destra. In pratica, la stella è stata completamente rivoltata!

Em ambas as imagens, utilizaram-se as mesmas cores para identificar os vários elementos químicos da estrela. Os astrónomos pensavam, que antes da explosão a estrela tinha grande quantidade de ferro (azul), enxofre e silício (verde), no seu centro. Mas afinal, estes elementos químicos foram lançados em direção às regiões externas da estrela, como se pode ver pelas cores azuis e verdes na área externa de Cas A na foto da direita. Basicamente, a estrela transformou-se de dentro para fora!

Na obu obrazkach, te same kolory oznaczają identyczne pierwiastki. Astronomowie uważają, że przed eksplozją gwiazda składała się z mnóstwa żelaza (kolor niebieski) oraz siarki i krzemu (zielony) skupionych w centrum gwiazdy. Jednak po wybuchu, te pierwiastki zostały wyrzucone w kosmos i możemy je obserwować na zdjęciu po prawej, dokładnie jako kolory: niebieski i zielony. Dosłownie mówiąc, gwiazda została wywrócona na lewą stronę!

Pentru a arăta dispunerea diferitelor elemente chimice dintr-o stea s-au folosit aceleeași culori pentru ambele fotografii. Astronomii cred că înainte de explozie steaua era bogată în fier (reprezentat cu albastru), sulf și siliciu (reprezentate cu verde) situate în partea centrală. Ulterior, aceste elemente au fost împinse spre părțile exterioare ale stelei, lucru aratat de prezența culorilor albastru și verde în jurul părților exteriaore ale Cas A, prezentată în fotografia din partea dreaptă. Pe scurt, steaua a fost întoarsă pe dos!
