Answer by Mr. Haxhinasto: Please bear in mind that this is a monitoring mission of ODIHR; it observes and monitors the whole process and electoral campaign, the election day, the administration of elections, the functioning of all electoral administration institutions, the behavior of political parties and all candidates without any exception. Certainly, we have also spoken about Tirana and they shall give their own opinion through the third/fourth intermediary report and then through the final one; however, as a matter of principle, we have agreed that, as far as Tirana is concerned, it is also necessary that the process should be administered under the existing laws that Albania has – its current Election Code; then, afterwards, the political parties may fuel their own political emotions and define certain positions. For the time being, we should respect the law to the maximum; everything that is presented and the relevant choices should be administered under the current Albania’s Election Code.
