У. Бегеля объявляется председателем Распорядительного комитета либо его уполномоченным представителем непосредственно перед началом чтения ключевой лекции на Международной конференции по теплообмену (IHTC). Церемония награждения проводится в рамках конференции во время торжественного банкета.

In August 2010 the first William Begell Medal was awarded at the IHTC-14 Conference held in Washington DC. Subsequent to the 2010 award, the Medal will be awarded every four (4) years, at the recommendation of the Begell Medal Selection Committee, coinciding with the schedule of the IHTC Conferences. The Medal winner will be announced at the IHTC Conference at the introduction of his/her Keynote Lecture and so recognized by the Chair of the Begell Medal Selection Committee or his/her designee. The Award ceremony will take place during the IHTC conference banquet dinner.

Die erste William Begell Medaille wurde auf der IHTC-14 Konferenz im August 2010 in Washington DC vergeben. Die Medaille wird seit 2010 alle vier Jahre auf Empfehlung des Begell Medal Selection Committee bei einer IHTC-Konferenz vergeben. Der Medaillengewinner wird bei der IHTC-Konferenz vor seinem Keynote-Vortrag angekündigt und vom Vorsitzenden des Begell Medal Selection Committee oder seinem Vertreter geehrt. Die Preisvergabe findet immer während des Bankettdinners im Rahmen der IHTC Konferenz statt.

En agosto de 2010, la primera medalla William Begell se entregó en la Conferencia IHTC 14 llevada a cabo en Washington DC. Después de 2010, la Medalla se entregará cada cuatro (4) años, de acuerdo a la recomendación del Comité de Selección de la Medalla Begell, coincidiendo con el cronograma de las Conferencias IHTC. El/la ganador(a) de la Medalla se anunciará en la Conferencia IHTC en la presentación de su charla magistral y será reconocido(a) por el Presidente del Comité de Selección de la Medalla Begell o su designado(a). La ceremonia del Premio se llevará a cabo durante la cena de la conferencia IHTC.

Em agosto de 2010, a primeira medalha William Begell foi entregue na Conferência IHTC-14 que ocorreu em Washington DC. Após a premiação de 2010, a Medalha será concedida a cada quatro (4) anos, por recomendação do Medal Selection Committee da Begell, coincidindo com o calendário das Conferências IHTC. O ganhador da medalha será anunciado na Conferência IHTC na introdução da sua palestra de abertura, assim, reconhecido pelo presidente do Medal Selection Committee da Begell ou seu da Comissão de Seleção Medalha Begell ou seu / sua representante. A cerimônia de premiação ocorrerá durante o jantar da conferência IHTC.
